Wall Drug...

As we drove along the freeway towards Sioux Falls, SD there are many, many signs along the way advertising for Wall Drug. After driving for a while we fell for the advertising and pulled in to see what neat things they had. The kids had a lot of fun sitting and posing for pictures with a giant rabbit, horses and teepees. In one building there is a giant T-Rex. Every 12 minutes smoke pours out and an alarm sounds and T-Rex comes alive with terrifying roars! The kids were so scared and poor Katie clung to my neck for dear life. We ran into a store, a good tactic, and waited for the beast to go back to sleep. I would recommend falling for this tourist attraction.

What a treat to get caught up on your trip. Thanks for the great update. It seems pretty strange to have 2 tires blowout so close together. Glad it all ended up OK.

What a great pic of the boys' reactions! You caught the moment on that one. Glad you're having fun and staying safe despite the mishaps! My other comment appears to be back, by the way. I didn't know it had disappeared, but it seems to be there now.

I think you have convinced me that when the day comes that we move from here, a road trip would be in order!! We have always thought I would fly with the kids, but stopping off at different places along the way looks like so much fun, and great family time :)
