The Last Day of July....

We have been so busy the last two weeks, well, busy for me. I signed three of the kids up for swimming lessons two weeks ago and today they are starting again for the next two weeks. It has been so good for them all, but especially for Brendan. He learned how to swim this time and I think that built up his confidence. He seems more confident to me anyways. Rebecca also learned how to swim, but has to do the same level again because she wasn't quite confident enough on her back and was resistant to jumping in the water. Justin will also repeat the preschool level, but this was his first time ever taking swimming lessons. The biggest obstacle for them all has been getting water up their noses and swallowing water..lol. Katie was just an absolute darling with me in the foyer, eating food and coloring pictures. I was so impressed by how quiet she was and I think sitting in church every Sunday has been a big help in that area.
I hope that this post is acceptable....:)

Happy Birthday Rebecca and Katie

Rebecca and Katie both had birthdays this last weekend. Rebecca turned 7 on Friday, July 7th and Katie turned 2 July 9th. They both had wonderful days with friends, brothers, presents and cake. I am so blessed to have such beautiful girls and they are growing so fast. Katie, as you can see, has so much personality and is almost too cute. Rebecca had three friends over and they were all so wonderful to have here. They each decorated a small photo album and door hanger that they took home. After that we went outside and the girls painted their names and doodled on the asphalt with washable paint. They made our drive look beautiful. All in all, I would say that it was a wonderful weekend. Thank you Lord for your many blessings.

Happy Independence Day!

May we count the blessings of living in the United States of America and find them to numerous to list. God bless America! And may we rely upon the Lord for our continued freedom in Christ.

The weather was beautiful the last two days and we even went to the beach yesterday. Brendan and I seem to have the more fair skin as we are the only two that received sunburn. The others didn't sit in one place long enough! Katie went into the water for the first time. She was freezing but she insisted on being as big and grown up as her brothers and sister. Actually once you stand in it for a minute it isn't so bad. Today, it is overcast, but not raining! I pray for a parade without rain! and maybe a little sunlight....
